Why
Buy? Nautical Structure Products?
We are pleased
to offer this brief white paper discussion regarding the benefits
of Nautical Structures’ equipment used in the construction
of your vessels. There are several elements common to all
of the equipment that we manufacture.
We at Nautical
Structures have staked our reputation on exceptional products
backed up with exceptional service. This is not just an aspiration,
it is a work ethic we dedicate ourselves to each day. And
it is an ongoing proposition as we continually strive to improve
our products and technologies.
All projects
are considered unique, and treated as such. We work with our
clients to determine the proper specifications required for
the project(s), and then begin the engineering process. Working
with computer aided design software, AutoCAD™, MathCAD™,
SolidWorks™ and finite element analysis when appropriate,
we design each deck crane, beam-system crane, passerelle or
other structure to interface with the vessel properly, to
function as specified and styled to look commensurate with
the architecture of the vessel. Our structures have been described
by some as “very robust”, and to be sure they
are sturdy. Our design philosophy is safety first, then reliability,
operational ease and styling. We embrace the concept that
a good design should be based on the experience and success
of previous projects. The standardization process ensures
that parts will be available when needed, enhancing the serviceability
of the product in the field.
Innovation
drives our success. Nautical Structures was the first company
to develop and utilize Hydraulic Linear Winch technology in
large yacht crane systems, over twelve years ago. Recently
this same technology was enhanced for use in SOLAS/MCA Mega
Yacht Code compliant cranes with
our gravity load-release system, another Nautical Structures
innovation. Small davit power rotation, PassaCranes, fully
integrated crane systems, wireles proportional control systems
and periscoping standpipe mounting systems are just but a
few of the many other innovations developed by Nautical Structures.
Our products are
subjected to stringent testing, with five specific test centers
dedicated to this process. Our crane systems are subjected
to static load testing in excess of twice the rated load capacity
of the crane. Every davit and crane system is set up on the
dynamic load test center and subjected to hours of live-load
testing. Our largest test-center has the ability to test over
500,000 Ft/Lbs of static or live loading.
Nautical
Structures products are supported with extensive documentation.
Our engineering department maintains a library of all products’
individual assembly and parts drawings. Operational and service
manuals are published for each product. Testing ‘Statement
of Fact’ documentation is provided with each product.
Our service department maintains a log of all products’
serial numbers allowing us to trace the manufacturing history
of each product, enhancing our ability to service older products
in the field. And
speaking of service, Nautical Structures has a dedicated service
department that provides worldwide service for our products.
Our service department carries an inventory of in-field replacement
parts, and is supported by the strength of our manufacturing
department. Professional relationships we maintain with the
most reputable shipyards and service companies around the
world guarantee that you’re never very far from qualified
technical support for our products.
Thank
you for considering Nautical Structures.
