Hydraulic Passerelle; Control Manifold Installation
| The art of hydraulics is found in the detail of the installation. While hydraulic fluid cleanliness may be the most important element in a hydraulic system installation, a lot may be said for a well laid-out installation. This page salutes the professionalism observed in the installation of the M.Y.Ingot's passerelle hydraulic control manifold and associated plumbing. The control manifold and related components are mounted to the outboard side of the passerelle enclosure, directly above the watertight hydraulic line penetrations into the passerelle enclosure. This location is ideal as it positions the hydraulic manifold in a servicable location, but away from traffic areas. The hydraulic line runs are shortened and plumbed in a neat and orderly fashion to the porting on the manifold. All of the hydraulic lines are properly labeled for identification. The hydraulic lines are mounted and run in neat parallel runs, fastened securely to ensure that little to no vibration may occur. The manifold is positioned to the gage ports are easily accessible for future service diagnosis. The hydraulic accumulator's isolation-valve is located in an easily accessible location for service as well. Plumbing from the manifold over to the hydraulic transom-door's sequence valves is done beautifully with stainless steel hard-tubing. This quality of installation enhances the crew's ability to work with the system, with the ability to follow the individual hydraulic circuits in the system with confidence. This enhances the crew's ability to troubleshoot any problems that may occur during the life of the equipment. |
