EURO Davit System

The EURO davit system is an example of exceptional design for the modern yacht. It is constructed with aluminum parts, such as aluminum hydraulic cylinders, which make the system light and resistant to corrosion. These davits are ideal for wet locations or demanding duties. Another innovation is Nautical Structure’s original, non-fouling Hydraulic Liner Winch system, rigged with Dynema composite fiber line and waterproof, low-tactile hand controls machined from Delrin.

EURO-Davits

Nautical Structures’ EURO-Type Hydraulic davit system represent the current state of the art in tender-handling equipment. Compare the features of this davit against any other and you will find the performance and value of this equipment unsurpassed. The davit features a generous ten-and-a-half-foot (3.2-m), twelve-foot (3.65-m) or fourteen-foot (4.26-m) boom length, capable of being loaded to its full safe working load capacity in any position without restriction. Available in SWL capacities of 1200, 1700, 2000 and 2500-Lbs (545, 775, 900 & 1140-Kgs), and provided in both a mono-boom or telescoping-boom configuration the EURO Davit may be configured for most applications. MCA-LY2 classification for vessels under 50-m/500-gt is available. Operational safety is the prime focus in our engineered design. Virtually silent-operating, our Hydraulic Linear Winch, a totally non-fouling winch system reflects the innovation and inherent safe operating characteristics built into this davit system. The hydraulic davit is powered by a remotely mounted one-horsepower hydraulic power unit. Aluminum hydraulic cylinders with integrated counter-balance locking valves, standard in all EURO-Systems davits, actuate each function for unsurpassed corrosion resistance, power and dependability. The EURO-Systems davit features 360º hydraulic power rotation providing the ultimate in tender-handling convenience. A pedestal base is the typical mounting structure for the EURO-Systems davit, although a standpipe mount may also be used in many applications. The davit is finished to our highest standards. The aluminum structure is chromated and then primed with a two-part epoxy primer. The system is faired smooth, and then primed again. The davit is hand sanded, and then moved into our heated finish booth where it is coated with a two-part AwlGRIP urethane spray-applied paint finish in a color of white to match your vessel. The davit system is assembled and then moved onto our dynamic load-testing center where our quality assurance department load tests every davit we produce prior to delivery to the customer.
