Military
Nautical Structures working with Premium Boat Company and the United States Air Force developed a specialized davit that is being used for pilot training. The boat and davit working together is used to help simulate an in-water parachute landing, and trains pilots to manage the potential of being dragged through the water while releasing their parachute harness. This program allows the Air Force to expose all of their pilots to the reality of in-water conditions while providing the safety found in Nautical Structures' non-fouling linear winch technology. The davit's winch and boom speed closely aproximates the speed of impact in an in-water landing, and the training simulates the potential disorientation a pilot experiences upon landing in the water.
Commercial Cranes; Land & Sea
Nautical Structures Industries manufactures an extensive line of light commercial cranes for the marine and mobile crane industry. Suitable for use dock-side in a marina complex, or installed on board a cruise ship, container ship or offshore oil platform, the Nautical Structures Marine Crane is suitable for the job. Like most Nautical Structures' equipment, the Marine Crane is contructed primarily from aluminum alloy. Most models are fit with a non-fouling Hydraulic Linear Winch System. The advantages of using a Nautical Structures Marine Crane are many, and include reduced system weight, reduced maintenance and longer service life, current state-of-the-art technologies including the non-fouling linear winch system and a load-release gravity-drop feature for fast deployment.
