Nautical
Structures’ incredible depth of products
gives us the ability to tailor a tender-handling system for
most on-board yacht applications. We take pride in our willingness
and ability to work closely with the client and shipyard to
develop equipment that provides the desired form and functionality.
Our management and design team have over one-hundred combined
years in the marine industry, and we bring this experience
to the table with every new project.
Recently working with a shipyard we helped to provide access
to the yacht for the client and his wife, both wheelchair
bound. A specialized passerelle with wheelchair ramps and
wheel guides was developed and built to our stringent standards,
providing enhanced safety and access for the handicapped yachtsman.
A unique scissor-lift platform provides this client the ability
to safely travel between the main deck and the lazarette deck.
A total of three independent overhead beam cranes will hoist
the yachtsman in his motorized wheelchair and transport him
to and from the dock, from either the starboard or the port
side of the yacht. This is just one example of the success
that may be achieved with close collaboration between Nautical
Structures and the shipyard's design team.
We offer such a wide variety of products
because there is such a diverse variety of yacht type and
style available to the yachtsman today. Some of our many innovative
products include: Small davits that can be easily integrated
into the boat, and upgraded with power rotation and wireless
controls. Large hydraulic deck cranes,
mounted on a periscoping standpipe system that permits the
crane to stow below the bulwarks, or in the deck itself is
another. Cranes that totally integrate
with the vessel's bulwarks, freeing all of the available deck
space for tender-storage or entertaining. Overhead traveling
beam crane systems that mount in
the overhead structure of the yacht permitting storage of
the vessel's tenders on lower decks. Hydraulic
passerelles that extend twenty-five feet or more unsupported
by the dock, providing boarding to either side of the yacht
with minimal deflection of the plank. It is this experience
that we hope you will consider when asking Why
Nautical Structures?
