| Deck
cradles are manufactured specifically for each
tender to be stowed. Templates are made at two
bunk locations, and from these templates aluminum
plate is cut to the contour of the tender's
bottom. The
deck cradles are fabricated with a 2" wide
top "T" plate across the top of the
chock. We fasten a double width rubber rub-rail
to the top plate. This gives the tenders hull
a wide, soft surface to rest on which prevents
the fiberglass hull from being damaged. The
rubber also provides traction to aid the tender
tie-downs in preventing the tender from moving
around while the yacht is underway. These
contoured cradles are available in several styles,
including permenant-mount, removable- mount,
Big-Boat style and cantilevered style. Proper
tender storage requires that the tender be secured
to the deck of the yacht, and NOT to the deck
cradle. |

Cable
Tie-Downs or Ratchet Tie-Downs may be used for
this purpose. These devices allow the tender
to be secured to the deck with a tensioning
device. Attachment directly to the tender's
towing eyes ensures that tension will always
be maintained once properly installed.
We offer two types of tie-downs, Cable downs
and Ratchet downs. We recommend the cable downs
for most applications, The Cable downs consist
of three legs, one for the bow and two for the
stern. They are assembled from a deck pad eye,
a quick release pelican hook, adjusting turnbuckle
(or over-center binder), 3/16" cable and
safety hook. All parts are 316 stainless steel
and are assembled before shipment. To install,
simply fasten the safety hook to the tender
eye, pull the cable down tight to the deck and
mark the location to fasten the deck pad eye.
The Ratchet downs come as a pair and are made
from a 316 stainless steel ratchet, stainless
safety hooks and 1" wide U. V. stabilized
nylon strap. To use, simply fasten the hooks
on either side of the tender to the deck, pull
the excess strap until snug and use the lever
on the ratchet to tighten the strap. To release,
pull the release lever and the strap "pops"
loose. You will need to order deck pad eyes
in addition to the straps to fasten to the deck.
